What
is a Feral Cat?
A feral cat can
be any cat living outdoors that
has never been handled by
humans, has had some handling by
humans or is a house cat that
has reverted to a wild state.
Why should I
help Feral Cats?
Every year there
are more then 77,500 cats put
down in North Carolina. Most of
them are feral cats who could
not be adopted because of
being feral. By helping these
cats we can reduce the number
being killed each year. Not only
does that mean a better life for
the cats but it means less money
spent by taxpayers.
How can I help
Feral Cats?
Caring for feral
cats is simple and straight
forward - food, water, shelter
and most important having them
spayed/neutered & vaccinated.
You can get started on getting
the cats you care for
spay/neutered and vaccinated by
filling in our
SNIP
Fund for Ferals
form.
To become a Feral
Cat Caretaker through the SPCA
of FC please signup for one of
upcoming Feral Cat Orientation &
Training meetings by filling in
the form below. You will learn
how to humanely trap for
spay/neuter appointments, all
about feeding and sheltering and
